Aunt Chrissy's House

I cannot say how much I adore her little house. It is so cool because it is right next to an organic grocery store with a surprisingly impressive wine selection. There were fresh round French loaves and baguettes. The meat section looked fresh, and although I didn't look through the cheese, I'll bet it was good. It's a small grocery store- the type where the checkout girl actually typed in the price.

Aunt Chrissy's house is actually accessible from the parking lot of the grocery store. Across the street from her grocery store is a bakery, and around the corner from that is an Italian Cafe with outdoor tables. I just love the entire neighborhood. It is within walking distance to a really neat park. It was a wonderful day- maybe 70 degrees, so we walked over there. Everyone was so friendly, and there was a neat mix of people. I told Christien that if she sees a house for sale to let me know. We passed a house that was just on the market, and the sign said, "sold in one day". It's a desired neighborhood for sure.

The yard is shady and very inviting. There is a swing, and it just feels peaceful. The only problem I saw was I'm pretty sure there was poison ivy growing next to the big shade tree. Our sister, Mari, has been in town for a while just to help out. She is a gem, and Chrissy and I are thankful and blessed to have her as our sister. I hope I warned Mari about the poison ivy because that is all she needs right now.

The inside of Aunt Chrissy's house feels just as homey. It has wood floors and a great kitchen. French doors open up into her sitting room. The natural light is so pretty because there are high ceilings with skylights.

This house will be a great place for Uncle R to rest and recuperate and get back his strength. I really believe this house was a Godsend, and that God has spared Uncle R. The doctors didn't think he would make it, but he has. The doctor said that there was something at work beyond medicine when Uncle R started to improve from a dire condition. I gotta give credit where credit is due, and it was God who pulled him through. Please pray for Uncle R that he'll continue to recover so he can come home to his great little house, and that he'll be able to walk to the grocery store with Aunt Chrissy someday.
