The Big Dipper

I am so proud of Jer for his report about the Big Dipper. It was kind of neat that he did his report on the Big Dipper because we could see it when we were driving back from Austin. We learned that the Big Dipper is not a constellation. It is an asterism of the constellation Ursa Major which means Big Bear.

G found some t-shirt lights, and put them behind little holes in the poster board. I then used a hole punch to punch holes in the middle of star stickers and used the stickers as a border for each light. There is a star sticker above the letter e of "Dipper" that is the North Star. You can find the north star using the Big Dipper. Jeremy got an A, and his teacher liked his visual aid.
