I've watched this several times. It's interesting that the main character would be fluent in Korean. I guess it's possible, but improbable. In one shot there is an open container of the type of cup of soup that you see a lot of in Korea. Also, when he pulls out pictures from his childhood, two of them are ripped in half. I think this must elude to an estrangement with his adoptive family. Since the picture of him with his mom is still intact, my guess is that he had a falling out with his dad. An estrangement is obvious, really, because if he were speaking to his mom and dad, he would just call them and ask if they had lived at that address (you have to watch the video- see the previous post for the link). Maybe his adoptive parents have died.
They are going to make a full length version of this. I wonder how they'll explain his speaking fluent Korean. They could explain it by having him leave the US for a while to live in Korea to find his roots.
Jon has watched Miracle Mile with me twice. He said that he wants to go back to "my Korea" for one day and then come back. I told him we'll go and stay for a week when he is older. I'm not sure at what age Korea will let us find his bio mom. I don't even know if she'll want to be found.

I'm glad to hear that he has some ownership of his heritage at the least. You and Greg are probably responsible for nurturing a lot of that. Give the kiddo a big squeeze from his aunt chrissy!
I called you Christien today, and Jeremy quickly corrected me. "NO! It's Aunt CHRISSSY!"
