Answered Prayer II- The Ring

Not long after G and I got married and moved away, we lived in a duplex that was a short walk from a large duck pond. G and I enjoyed throwing bread to the cute ducks. We were usually the only people around, and there was this one spot with a big tree so we could get shade. One day we were out there, and I threw a piece of bread as hard as I could, and off flew my ring. It wasn't my wedding ring, but it was a ring that belonged to G's mom that his Aunt Shirley gave me after G's mom died of breast cancer. I loved G's mom. She was very special to me as she was to many people.

I was just sick that this happened. I made G roll up his pants and go in the water. He looked and looked, but he couldn't find it. I asked G to pray with me that somehow we would find it. It started getting late, so we had to leave. I kept praying that somehow we would get that ring back.

A couple months passed, and every time I looked at that duck pond, I thought of my ring. One day while I was at work, G took a bike ride to the duck pond. He said "something" was telling him to look. It had been hot, and we were in a drought, so the water level had gone done. G said he walked right up to the edge of the water, looked down, and there was my ring!

I think God is pleased when we remember what He has done, give Him the credit, and thank Him for it.
