Jer has been very excited about this field trip. He has been telling us all about it for a week now. "I need to bring a sack lunch. I need to put sunscreen on before I come to school." He has a cute lunch box, but he wanted to actually bring a sack. This big grocery store sack was all we had, but he insisted. Jer was beaming...and Jon was not. He was sulking because his class wasn't going (he's in first grade. Jer's in kindergarten), so I let him in on a little surprise. He and I are going to Orlando next month- just me and him- a little Mama/Jon time. I finally get to meet some women that I feel a close kinship to, and Jon gets to see some kids from his orphanage who he hasn't seen in three years. It took some doing (and money), but this is something I really wanted to MAKE work for Jon. I think he is still confused on the details because he asked if I could sleep with him in the bed at AMSA (the orphanage where he used to live), so I explained that we aren't going to AMSA in Korea. We are going to Florida to see his friends from AMSA. For friends and family reading this (and since I have my blog set to private right now, that's probably all who are reading), please pray that all the details work out. Airfare has gone up in just one day!
Update: I must have done something weird this morning because I just purchased the tickets, and the fare was pretty reasonable. Maybe I accidentally was checking fares for business class instead of good 'ole coach.

Jeremy looks so much like Greg in that photo. It's almost spitting image.
If you put your finger over Jer's eyes, he looks just like Greg when he was a boy.
Good job on the tix. Where did Jer go on his field trip? Did he have fun?
He went to a fire station and this big wooden park here in town. His buddy, Blayne,was his safety partner. It sounds like he had a really good time.
