I spend a couple of five minute spans of time a day reading a few blogs. I use bloglines to read them. Bloglines shows which blogs have been updated, and I can read them quickly right there from that bloglines page. There is a woman ob/gyn in Manhatten who has a blog called The Blog That Ate Manhatten that I enjoy. For some reason I was touched by her latest post, The Hot Dog Mensch. I always love to read about honesty and about good deeds done by my fellow man no matter how big or small.
Another blog I like to read is thefairfax written by a woman in Florida. She has an autistic son who she shares stories about. She is a Christian, and most of her posts are pretty deep. There are several good posts, but the one that gave me a glimpse of some of the challenges of having an autistic child is this one called The Henry Boy. It's also a great metaphor of how Christians can create messes for themselves and how ridiculous the responses can be- "Why does this always happen to me?"...
