Jon and Jer

Backyard Balloons
Yesterday Jon and Jer wanted to play with waterballoons. It was too cold, but we let them blow up balloons with the air pump. They had fun, but at the end, the funnest part for them was popping every single one of them

Imaginative Play
I walked into Jer's room, and Jer whispered, "shhh. Don't wake the dragon." They were creating some very elaborate storyline with puzzle pieces, trains, and I'm not sure what else. Their Mama was known for her creative, imaginative play. Chris, I'm sure you remember the "Genie in the Bottle." I was such a weird kid.

Playing in the Basement
Here the boys are playing Basement Basketball. This is a loaded picture. Can you see how Gray is poised for the rebound? Those are G's drums, sans cymbols (he has them at the church. You know-- the place that I should be at RIGHT now). To the right of the hockey table is a bag full of G's hockey gear that we are getting rid of, and the bottle next to it is for beer making. We are getting rid of that too. That arcade game is Atari's Hard Drivin. It's cool because it has the force feedback feature. I know that is available for computer games, but that can't beat sitting in the cockpit of this thing. We were cleaning out the basement closet, and all those baby things are going (sniff sniff. Gray isn't a baby anymore). Jon is stepping on a cool folding ice-cream truck. When you set it up, it's sort of like an ice-cream truck tent. The boys still love playing in it.

Sepia Young Republicans II
I just love this picture. My prayer for Jon and Jer is that they will always be there for eachother- that there will always be a special bond between my two first born sons.
